Grey Winter hath gone like a wearisome guest,
And, behold, for repayment,
September comes in with the wind from the west
And the spring in her raiment!
The ways of the frost have been filled of the flowers,
While the forest discovers
Wild wings, with the halo of hyaline hours,
And the music of lovers.
September, the maid with the swift silver feet!
She glides and she graces
The valleys of coolness, the slopes of the heat,
With her blossomy traces;
Sweet month, with a mouth that is made of a rose,
She lightens and lingers
In spots where the harp of the evening glows,
Attuned by her fingers.
We, having a secret to others unknown,
In the cool mountain mosses,
May whisper together, September alone
Of our loves and our losses.
One word for her beauty, and one for the grace
She gave to the hours;
And then we may kiss her, and suffer her face
To sleep with the flowers.

With Albany growing through new businesses, homes and the new waterfront more and more people are coming to the area for business and tourism reasons. HideAway Haven offers tourists and business travelers alike a unique, personalised lodging experience. By focusing on HideAway Haven’s proximity to the beach, the many hiking trails including the Bibbulum Track and the centre of the South Coast Wine Region, we will cater to people interested in water activities, hiking and those who like good food and good wine. HideAway Haven will also offer amenities to attract business travelers who enjoy the “homey” feeling of a bed and breakfast over the ambiance of a traditional style hotel.
Similar to tourists who choose to stay in traditional hotels, customers who patronize B&Bs seek relaxation, fun and stress management while on vacation. However, this type of customer also prefers comfortable accommodations in a cozy, family environment. These patrons are more social, they love meeting new people while at the same time require enough privacy to enjoy their vacation. HideAway Haven has all the necessary facilities to attract such customers.
We will ensure each guest’s stay is memorable by providing unlimited comfort and service. We have created an environment of pampered luxury surpassing any currently found in Albany. HideAway Haven has three guest rooms fully equipped with TV/DVD and comfortable beds. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom, large wardrobe and private deck with outdoor furniture.
In addition to room amenities, HideAway Haven offers a common room with fully equipped kitchen for guests to use if they wish to dine in. Also offering laundry facilities; including washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. An extensive DVD library is available as are magazines and local newspapers. A Jacuzzi is situated outdoors under the stars.
Beginning the day we opened we have provided guests with the caring and outstanding quality of service. We serve a wide selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian breakfasts. We willingly accommodate guests with vegan, non-gluten or other specialised dietary requirements. With just 3 bedrooms in our accommodation, we have ample opportunity to ensure every guest receives the very best quality of service. We enjoy developing long-lasting friendships with many of our guests. If guests prefer peace and relaxation, we happily accommodate them and safeguard their privacy. Equally, we enjoy all the adventure of striking up new friendships with many of our guests and look forward to welcoming back former guests.
