ADVERSITY CAN MAKE YOU STRONGER

Touching the sky without arms...What a story! INCREDIBLE!

Sometimes a story comes that you just have to share.  This landed in my inbox today. I hope that this story touches your heart as it stirs some memory of your inner strength - an inner strength that knows the way in the midst of your daily life in a world sometimes is twisted and gone quite mad.

Dodging Spider Webs after the Rain

I love walking after the rain and looking at all the different variety of webs. They are so intricate and delicate and the spiders must have spent all night spinning the sticky thread that I hate walking through.  Different spiders build different kind of webs, depending on the type of prey they capture and the location of the web. There are tangled webs, sheet webs, gum footed webs, horizontal line webs, bolas webs and many more.

Newest Member of the HideAway Family

'Bobby' is the newest member of our family.  We went to the pet shop yesterday and there was this little blue budgie racing back and forth in his cage.  He ran over, under and through the other birds in the cage.  He squarked and squealed every time another budgie got in his way.  We laughed and laughed so hard and decision was made.  This little feisty bird with attitude and character would fit right in with our family.  We picked out a cage fit for this character and took him home.  The cats are sitting in front of the window staring at this newest toy and can't wait to come inside for a play.

Pepper & Salt Restaurant ~ Denmark

The Pepper and Salt Restaurant was the perfect place to celebrate Becki's Birthday  Surrounded by beautfiul gardens, vineyards and water fountains, we enjoyed a relaxing lunch with a nice bottle wine from Matildas Estate Winery. The service was outstanding during the entire meal and the visits from Chef Silas were appreciated and enjoyed. The food was scrumptios and the presentation faultless. We enjoyed the Pepper & Salt Regional Producers Platter and Blue Manna Crab Wontons,Scotsdale Marron in a Shitake and Bacon Hock Broth.

We loved the origin of the name of the restaurant and the pepper and salt grinder on the table. Chef Silas is Mr Pepper and his wife Ange is Mrs Salt. Ange was also the founder of the Denmark Mother's Day Walk for Cancer and we were proud sponsor's of this event, donating a nights accommodation to the winner of the online registration. Sail-a-Way - Whale Watching in Albany

Luxury Accommodation in Albany
HideAway Haven ~ Happiness and Harmony Happen Here

Whale Watching Tours start again in June, 2011 though the whales are already in our waters.  John says ...  'Its not what you see when you are out on the water, it's what you feel during the experience'...  John would have to one of the most gentle spiritual men we have met....he loves the quietness of the night and is at one with the water. We will be taking a tour in June and hope to be able to share some photos with you. I am so excited to experience our first whale watching cruise.
Don't miss out on an unforgettable experience.  Come down to Albany for a stay at HideAway Haven and enjoy a day or evening out on the water with John and Sail-a-Way.  Chances are you will get more than 1 tour while you are here.  May & June are the nicest months in Albany with cold nights and warm days and no wind.

Skål

Skål is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. We were invited to one of Albany's Skål monthly meeting's aboard Sail-A-Way a whale watching catamaran.  It was a perfect evening, with a very special sailor. Perfect night with clear skies and a million stars.  One day we will take a tour away from all the lights and just enjoy the sky.

If you came to Albany would you take a tour to watch the whales play in our water?
